When is the Chinese New Year Parade?
The Southwest Chinese New Year parade, celebrating the Year of the Horse will be on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 5:20 pm stepping off at Second and Market Street.

How can one participate in the Chinese New Year Parade?
Please read the rules and regulations and fill out the parade application posted HERE.

Where is the best place to view the parade and what time should we arrive?
The entire parade route is an excellent place to view the parade but it does get more crowded as you get closer to Chinatown. Choose a spot before 4:30pm.

Where are the Wheelchair and Accessible Seating Locations?
First row space will be provided for wheelchairs and one standing attendant per wheelchair at the bleacher zones. If the attendant wishes to sit, then he/she will need to purchase a bleacher seat ticket.
Bleacher Locations:
     Post Street (between Grant Ave. & Kearny Street)
     Kearny Street (between California & Sacramento Streets)

How do I purchase bleacher seats?
Order on line HERE or call the Parade Office 415 680-6297. Cost is $30.00 per ticket, (10% discount will be given on the purchase of 10 or more tickets). Children under 2 are free and must be on a parent’s lap. VISA/MC only. Tickets will be mailed to you up to the week of the parade. Tickets ordered a week before the parade will need to be picked up. You will be given instructions at that time. Bleacher seats are not assigned. You may sit anywhere you like. Bleachers are open, no coverage above seats.

Your ticket will have the location and the parade route. Please be in your seats by 5:00 pm. Important: Your receipt will not permit you to sit in the bleachers, you must have your tickets.
(All tickets are non-refundable)

Is the parade going to be cancel if it rains? How long is the parade?
No, the parade will not be cancel if it rains and the parade is approximately 2-1/2 hours.

What is the best way to get to the parade?
We strongly suggest everyone take public transportation. More information: HERE
