This Year of the Dragon will mark 125 years since Chinese Hospital began serving Bay Area’s Chinese and other underserved communities. What started as a small dispensary in 1889 has grown into a modern hospital at the core of a healthcare system that comprise a full-service health plan and a network of over 7,000 providers serving the larger communities in San Francisco and San Mateo counties.
Part of advancing our original mission is by bringing vital services like stroke care and cancer center to the heart of the community. Forging deeper partnerships with UCSF, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and SF Department of Public Health ensures we share-in the knowledge that can benefit everyone.
Our tireless drive toward a high-quality healthcare system is recognized with recent accolades: Newsweek’s America’s Best-in-State Hospitals, 4-Star Rating by CMS, and A Grade by Leap Frog in Spring 2023 among them.
As a vital part of the healthcare system, CCHP offers important safety-nets in physical, mental, and financial health of all our neighbors.
